Images associated with abjections fascinate me and in this work I approach them through corporeality and an ecofeminist image. The similarities between the human body and elements of nature, such as the comparison of the body's shape or fleshiness with the shapes and surfaces found in nature, come together to build conceptual bridges around the images. Nature is touched and it touches. A person's own water body is intertwined with the surrounding environment. The haptic nature of the images may manifest itself in the viewer as physical sensations.
My work always remember silkiness and water bodies brings to light the problematics of our complex relationship with nature.
