Susanna Selin is a photography and video artist working in their hometown of Helsinki.
In their artistic research, they examines the power relations between humans and nature. Selin's artistic processes alternate between constructed and spontaneous images. Their special interests include the absurdity of everyday life and still lifes in a relationship with nature that has become more difficult due to the ecological crisis.
Also queer body, sensuality, pregnancy, queer parenthood, beliefs and playful love are themes they enjoy working on. Selin's works have previously been exhibited in both private and group exhibitions in Finland.
